The Black Balloon is a silent-film trilogy of whimsical, macabre
love stories accompanied by the solo piano works of French composer Erik Satie.
Part One: Stirred to action by the appearance of a child's party balloon, a Stranded Sailor builds a hot air balloon
and escapes a deserted island. Part Two: At the dark and unkept city morgue, the corpse of a beautiful Dead Woman
